The Health Professionals with Charles Kovess, Anna McLoughlin, Dr Paul Oosterhuis and Dr Alison Goodwin - 28 July 2024
GUEST OVERVIEW: Dr Paul Oosterhuis is an Australian anaesthetist with over thirty years’ experience, including in critical care and resuscitation. He was brought before the Medical Board of NSW for posting information on social media regarding COVID-19. His posts related to early treatment and prophylaxis, PCR tests, and risk-benefit calculations regarding COVID-19 vaccination and lockdowns. The board suspended his registration, but Dr Oosterhuis took legal action to successfully overturn the decision.
GUEST OVERVIEW: Dr Alison Goodwin has been a medical doctor in New Zealand for nearly 30 years. She worked in Emergency Medicine initially but has been doing General Practice for the past 13 years. More recently she has undertaken additional training in Lifestyle Medicine and this is ongoing. However, for the past three years she has been researching many aspects of the COVID pandemic. She is a member of NZDSOS (New Zealand Doctors Speaking Out with Science) and has been asking questions and raising concerns about New Zeeland’s COVID response since mid 2020. She had her APC (annual practicing certificate) suspended by MCNZ (Medical Council of New Zealand) between January and November 2022 due to her position.
